During the summer of 2020, Managing Director Conrad Baxter began working on a concept to provide Water Utility Companies with a solution to mitigate the number of disruptions affecting water supplies to both residential and commercial properties.
Motivated by a desire to innovate the water supply industry with products driven by simplicity and effectiveness, Furst Technologies Ltd was born – a company dedicated to revolutionising water utilities and ensuring end users receive uninterrupted service excellence.
Working closely with Essex Water, who were already highly regarded for their levels of customer service and satisfaction, he came to understand the situations which impacted adversely on their business. Essex Water were keen to embrace innovations and a subsequent Eureka moment one summers evening led to the design and development of the products MoWBi™ and ToWBi™.
Capable of delivering water at up to 6Bar working pressure whilst using zero energy, Furst Tech. products provide a unique, efficient and upwardly integrated water supply system.
Through extensive testing with Essex Water, over 900 water samples confirmed the integrity of water stored within MoWBi™ units and its remarkable stability – remaining bacteria-free and drinkable for at least 5 days, even during extreme hot weather testing conditions of more than 30⁰C.
Using an innovative design ethos, Furst Technologies’ patent pending products use “green energy” technologies, designed and developed with a task specific objective; to maintain a pressurised water supply in the event of an outage of the mains supply.
Essex Water needed a solution to issues caused by Interrupted Water Supplies and the financial and customer services impact resulting from these outages.
A concept was born with a few pipes and an old wheelie bin… MoWBi is born!
Designed, refined and developed to provide a game-changing transportable water system. The pipes and wheelie bins became an inspired and sustainable device, ready to transform the water industry.
Stored in an insulated, hermetically sealed chamber, the water is isolated from the ingress of dirt and bacteria, whilst an air gap around the water reduces the impact of temperature variations. All these features contribute to the integrity of the water, evidenced by the results of over 900 independently tested water samples, which highlighted the water’s remarkable stability, remaining bacteria-free and drinkable for up to 5 days, even in extreme heat conditions outdoors.
Designed around standard pallet fork dimensions MoWBi can be easily moved around a base location using a standard pallet truck. For deployment out in the field, a purpose designed “off road” pallet truck is used to make mounting pavement or travelling across rough terrain as easy as possible. For transportation out to site, any standard flatbed-based vehicle may be used.
MoWBi™ requires no power to dispense its contents, and is filled at the base source using the Kinetic energy of the local water supply.

Furst Technologies founder, Conrad Baxter, was providing equipment directly to Essex Water (part of Northumbrian Water Group), and they’d been impressed with the original products being sourced. With a strong desire to innovate, Essex Water happily teamed up to maximise the opportunity for improvement.
After years of intensive development, testing and continuous teamwork, the solution was ready to go and Northumbrian Water Group could mitigate supply interruptions, eliminate long outages and ensure customer satisfaction.
